Busia County recently concluded its public participation process for the National Government Budget Estimates 2023-2024. The participatory event took place on 18th May 2023, with numerous stakeholders, budget facilitators, and champions engaging in constructive discussions regarding the country’s budget allocation for the upcoming fiscal year.

During the public participation process, a wide range of issues and concerns were raised by the budget facilitators, champions and citizens. The submitted issues highlighted the needs and priorities of the county and region, aiming to shape the allocation of resources in line with the citizens aspirations.
